I got a new battery 6 months ago. When I bought it the guy told me to add water to it every 6 months. Is this correct? Do I just open up the caps and add clean water in it? Confused cause Ive never heard of maintaining a battery.

 

Add distilled water. There's usually a little ring or something inside each hole to show how much acid should be in there. Get a hydrometer to measure specific gravity, too.
