Default Battery light and voltage question...

00 civic, does the battery light turn on when the voltage in the charging system drops to a certian level? If so what voltage does the light come on?

I'm trying to diagnose a lack of fuel problem that I experienced on the dyno. The tuner is trying to tell me I had a voltage drop that caused the pump to not pump enough fuel. My question is if I never had a battery light on what is the lowest the voltage could have gone? After I shut the car off, did a compression test I check the battery and it read 12.1V.

Is it possible that the pump somehow didn't get enough voltage and I got no battery light? A1000 fuel pump.

By the way the car was at 70% fuel at 8000rpm with the A1000, 1000cc injectors and no boost!

Did you do any re-wiring for the A1000?

yes, wired it per the instructions. The only factory wiring used was the signal wire to the relay.
