Battery was drained, now lights dim at idle
My battery was pretty much completely drained about two weeks ago leading me to jump start it (had to charge for about 20 minutes before it cranked), and I have only driven the car fro a few hour since. I notice that now when I come to idle/stop the lights dim quite significantly which it didn't do before. Will this go away as the battery charges more?
I am also having a problem with the c ar stalling at idle/low idle.

The battery needs sufficient time to fully charge. At idle, the alternator has a hard time charging the battery and powering the lights. That's why they dim. Put the bat on a charger for a day or drive a long time.
Stalling might be because the battery was dead enough to reset the ECU. Once that happens, the idle needs to be relearned. If you drove the car right away after jumping it the idle learn got messed up. It will recover over time or you can start the engine and let it idle to operating temp without touching anything or using any accesories like radio, etc.

check to make sure u have a good ground cable...this has happened to my teggy many times... i used 0 gage wires for my power and ground...no more problems.
One time I heard that when the battery dies fairly low and a quick jumpstart gets it going, you have to drive it at 55 MPH or above for at least 7 minutes to get a good charge on it, so if it was that dead, I'd say you'd have to drive it a lot longer, maybe a half hour or so at mostly highway speeds. Now take my answer with a grain of salt please because I do not know if this is accurate, but it seemed to work for me and I've heard it several times. Good luck.
ok, first take your car somewhere and get the battery tested. make sure you didn't kill it when you drained it. second if it tests good, have them test your alternator aswell. your lights are dim because when they are on they are using more amps than your have stored. meaning your running your battery to low. so either its not charged enough. (which mph doesn't matter. higher rpms will charge the battery faster than mph.) or its not holding a charge. sometimes a battery getting completly drained will put it over the edge and make it go bad. take it to auto zone. have them test your battery and your alternator. replace either if they are bad, and go back to driving your car normal. the stalling is caused by low battery voltage. mostlikly you need a new battery, and possibly a new alternator.
