Default Battery cable size?

I am moving my battery to my trunk and I was wondering what size cable to use? I figure 8gauge would be fine just making sure I don't have to use 4gauge. I probably will use 4gauge for the ground.
Thanks

8 gauge won't cut it, i doubt 4 gauge will be enough for the power. wait til other people reply, but i'm pretty sure a 4 gauge is pushing it buddy

2 gauge minimum. Sure, people get away with 4 gauge but that doesn't make it right.
