you can expect to pay some where between $650-1000 depending on degrees of porting, and then you have to decide if you want aftermarket valves and other hard parts which is when it starts to get pricey!

porting a turbo head will make it flow better, but the real difference doesn't come in till high Boost levels. At least that's what i heard and read about.

P&P a turbo engine it's a plus, but it has to be done for turbo. Meaning have the head P&P for turbo aplication.

Laminar flow is the way the air flows away from the walls by creating a slightly rough surface to keep the bulk of the air away from the walls so fuel doesn't collect on them. Polishing causes the fuel to collect no matter if it's NA or FI. It's just plain Fluid Dynamics. Polishing is good on the combustion chamber's in the head, and on the piston to reflect heat back into the chamber instead of heating the water jacket. To further the effect squirt some water or alcohol to clean the cylinders before every run if you're that much of a stickler to get as much as you possible can.
The rough areas help to create certain boundry layer design flow, which changes laminar flow. The boundry layer flow design is dependent on turbulence of the "rough" areas, and surface friction. Laminar flow in itself doesn't prevent collection, its merely the cause.

i'd imagine if your injector setup was good enough, that the fuel injectors sprayed fuel directly ontop of the intake valves, that you would still get good atomization, because along with the rough finish of castings, you also have "swirl" that is designed into the head.... it really depends on your fuel setup... if your fuel injectors are spraying it directly on to the sidewall of the intake port.... if you're really getting down to the nitty gritty, you may want to re-design the way you have things set up.
