I wrote this question before but in the wrong forum. I wanted to know What is the base timing for a 94 Gsr? and How do you set it?

Default Re: Base Timing (GsRHatchy1320)

Probably 16 (+/-2) degrees BTDC. Warm up the engine completely, jumper the SCS connector, make sure the idle is OK (800rpm or whatever?). Shine a timing light at the crank pulley. The set of 3 marks is all you need; they're already at the right position. Loosen the distributor mounting bolts & twist the distributor to make it right, tighten, & verify it's still OK.
