salvagable, is the repair cost worth the value of the head? Call around to machine shops see what the going rate is. Speedfactory is in Tacoma, they do cylinderhead work.

type-r head. if it was b16 probably not worth it

I have a welder that can weld it up for me I just have to clean it up myself.

anyone have a picture of a deshrouded? combustion chamber that I can do on this one to smooth out the small chips?

I mean. how far can I go with dremel before it will change the flow/swirly dramatically?

i was also thinking of warming up the head and bump all the small dings flat with a hammer and a punch that way i don't have to take out a lot of material.

Take it to the machine shop on 99 and 112th, Called Jay's. Have him surface it and jet wash it than think about cleaning after that.

no need for that its already cleaned. just need to take it to welder.
I wanted to see what people say if I should spend money fixing it since its a type-r head. I have the complete motor. block is already at the machine shop

Ultimately it's like I said, how much will it cost to repair vs replace. If you take it to a real porter that would offer welding and de-shrouding as services anyway you are going to get a real idea of the cost.
The head is arguably the place Honda's make all their power, get it done right don't home garage diy it.
