Default Balancing bottom-end,

What If I just balanced the Crank,Flywheel and Pulley, am I safe..
I shotpeened the rods and using over-size US specs Type R piston on a LS block

U might as well get the pistons balance with that crank and be complete.

to have it done correctly you should have the whole bottom end balanced together

If you were using all brand new parts, you would be plenty fine on just balancing the crank. The pistons and rods would be in spec from the factory and the oil on the rotating mass would throw it off more then anything anyways. You should be fine in my opion...If you were to worry about anything, it would be the rods off weight. I think your fine and if you not gonna try for big hp and high reving which it seems your not, then your fine.

I'm still using the Ls rods, an since the LS block was meant to rev up to 6800. I justwanna be safe that I can rev up to 8k
