Bad Throw Out Bearing?

How long can I drive on a bad throw out bearing? It is making a whirring, humming noise. Shifting into first is noticeably notch but I can still get into gear. Other gears seem to be normal.

Till it stops working completely and you can't shift at all or you get tired of struggling with it.
