Default bad o2 in open loop?

my car sometimes doesnt accelerate for a split second when i first turn on the car which would mean its in an open loop but i thought the ecu doesnt read the o2 when its in an open loop so how could the o2 be causing this?

If the car isnt warmed up the oxygen sensor cant be the cause.

when you first start the car if its warm or not isnt it still in an open loop?

it does it when my car is warmed up but only when i first start it

doesnt it take a few minutes for the o2 sensors to give readings?

when i was looking at live data on a scanner it took a minute for the sensors to fluctuate

Two things have to happen, the oxygen sensor itself has to warm up via the heater element that's built into it and the cars temperature has to be warmed up. If the car is warmed up AND the oxygen sensors heater element is warmed up then it's possible the oxygen sensor is at fault but honestly I'm not sure how fast that happens when you start the car, even after turning it off after the car is warmed up.

One thing that happens when you start the car is it tests the egr system. It's possible if your egr ports are clogged up that it could be hesitating as a result, obviously this depends on if your car has egr.

i have a y7 block y8 head y8 ecu

this has only happend to me 3 times at start up when car is warmed up already
only lasts a few seconds

i dont have an egr

i was having the same symtoms as the guy in the thread above im thinking it has somthing to do with the o2 sensors since i noticed on my scan tool it takes a few for the o2 to flucuate at startup
