Default bad hub...

I think my hub has gone bad... I can't get my axle back into it. I spent hours tring to put it back in, and it can't be done. I have a spare axle, and it won't go in either so I'm led to believe it is the hub... iut was vbery difficult to get out in the first place.
My question is (and I already did a search ), I want to try to get a used spindle assembly (becaues a new hub and wheel bearing will probably be $$$). Which one will interchange with my 1993 civic SI hatch?

I found a guy in town who has a set of civic EX spindles, but he says that he tried to swap it onto his buddies civic si and the caliper mounts were in a different spot... so the caliper would not fit. Will this spindle not work on my car? If so, what civic shold I look to raid?

you might as well put some 94-2001 integra spindles on there and go up to some better brakes. I believe the rotor size is the same size as the ex spindles . The calipers will be bigger on the teg spinles. Of course if youre going to the teg spindles, make sure you change out your master cylinder with a 94-2000 rs one, or a 91 civic ex one. change you porportioning valve out to a teg one, and youre good to go.

then you can change the rears to some disks as well.

Bad? How could the spline go bad? Is it damaged? The axle doesn't slide in and out by hand. You'll need to smote it out and use the axle nut to pull it in...

I can't get the splines threaded... it feels like th splines might be damaged in the hub... I can feel a lip all around the inside of the hub. I just can't get the axle started. I've done this many times before, so I know that I'm not missing something small. It just won't go in.

I don't have the $$$ for an integra brake system right now... I just want to get back on the road

Has anyone had this problem before (a hub 'going bad'... changing shape or something to that effect) so that the axle won't go back in? Any suggestions?
