bad CYP Sensor in dizzy requires dizzy replacement??
throwing a code 9 in my pre obo integera. its a 90 and was woundering if i needed to place the whole dizzy or if i could just replace the CYP sensor in the dizzy? thanx for any help...

It's possible the wiring is bad, not the sensor. First rule out dumb stuff like broken/disconnected wiring. I've always heard you have to buy the whole distributor in order to get the sensor.

the internals of the distributers between the sohc dohc vtec and non vtec are the same just find a old obd0 dist and take the guts out of it and put them in yours.

Take a look in there first... Sometimes the real problem is the distributor shaft bearing is coming apart. That makes metal shavings that get in between the star-wheels & the magnetic sensors. In that case I'm not sure how else you can replace that bearing.
