BAD CLUTCH.........?

Car: 96 Acura Integra
Engine: B18b1
With the car off it will go into gear...........but after he starts it it will not go into gear........his clutch peadal feels fine................i wanna say he needs a new clutch but not for sure..........................any thoughts....?????????

Watch the slave cylinder & throw-out lever while someone works the clutch pedal. It should move about 12mm or so. If that's OK, then the hydraulic system is OK. That leaves problems inside the bellhousing...

Like the first post said, check the slave and hydraulic system first, no sense it buying a clutch and taking the tranny off if you dont have to, start with the easy stuff to diagnose.

Move the rubber boot covering the slave cylinder-to-lever arm area and inspect.

i didnt think he was trying to missguide me.....i was just wanting to see if there was any other opinions...........but yea its defanintly the pressure plate/clutch, when its in gear u can feel it grinding and u hear metal to metal contact.......thanks for the input guys
