Backfiring problem
I swaped in a DOHC ZC into my 90' Si. It runs fine, but at idle I can hear loud clicking coming from the valvetrain. I know it needs a valve adjustment, which im gonna do after I get home from work. But my question is, can valves that are out of adjustment cause backfiring?
wait a sec, when is it backfiring? at idle? up shifts? in gear? when free revving?
some symptoms of backfiring is
1. Timing
2. Running Rich
3. Exhaust Leaks
4. No cat
I know I didnt answer your Can valves cause backfiring but take a look at some of these things in the mean time...
