Backfiring only between 1-2 shift?

Backfiring only between 1-2 shift?
I recently started getting a loud backfire but onyl when i shift between first and second gear but not any of the other gears......my setup is pretty simple:
h22 ek
hondata
short ram w/ velocity stack
2 1/4 cat back exhaust
