Default B20vtec headwork???????

I just needed to know if if boring the vtec head to 84 mm to match the bore of the b20 block help increase performance as well as reduce detonation. Currently running a b20 /w type r head @12.5-1 compression. Running 310 cc injectors, VAFC, BM regulator, Walbro pump, ventuli plate, and more...

It's always a good thing to do... If you thing about it... The stock head is set up for an 81mm bore, when you put that on an 84mm B20 you have 1.5mm's over overlay on each side... If you haven't had the head ported or bored matched then i would recommend Portflow... Peace..

there are 2 schools of thought:
1. open up the chamber to increase flow
2. leave stock chamber to increase quench

i have built both and both seem to fine and making good power.
the important thing is to have the head ported well.
