Default B20B Questions

I have a 98 CRV with a B20B engine (rated 126hp). I did some research and found out that it the difference between B20B and B20Z is the CR (pistons) and the intake manifold. I will be rebuilding the engine pretty soon since its at 290000km right now and im wondering if i just use pistons from b20z, would it work in b20b w/o modifcation? Will it bolt in directly?

I am not 100% sure, but I believe you can. The two engines are identical with exception of piston, im and knock sensor. I would look into weather or not the cams are the same. But as far as the pistons fitting on the rods you should be good, the head castings I believe are the same so the combustion chamber should be good with either piston. Like I said make sure that your cams dont have a higher lift or durration than the b20z (but I dont think they would). Always good to double check.
