Icon2 B20b breaking up at low rpms

Hey guys, just got a car in a trade and i've been lookin it over. 98 Honda civic hatch dx, b20b low compression swap, ls intake mani, obd1 p75.

When it warms up and i drive it, i have to rev it passed 3500rpms to get it to move and when i change gears, it just studders before it goes anywhere. When I'm driving around 65mph and just floor it in 5th gear, it doesnt move and just breaks up and studders. I'm new to both the B20 and Ek civics, have no clue what the problem could be. I'm gonna be doing a valve adjustment and timing adjustment check tomorrow to see if it helps. Any other tips? All help appreciated.

Sounds like your timing could be a bit on the retarded side. What you can do too see if if it is the timing is. Loosen the distributor bolts, and either turning it to the left will retard it or advance the timing. I changed a dizzy on my car and i drove it for a good month and it felt like it had no power. I realized I installing my dizzy to far to one side. Once I adjusted it the car accelerated smoothly all the way through the rpms .

I had the same problem with my ls but it wasnt as bad, adjusted the dizzy and it helped a little, so timing adjustment will definitely be on the priority list.
And yes, check engine light is on. I was told because of the O2 sensor but who knows.

Get a timing light and time it he right way. Stock ls map is gonna make the b20 run super lean if I remember right. Just get a lil street tune in and you should be fine.
