B20 Vtec Misfiring! NO CELs
Alright i have b20vtec setup. i bought the block from a buddy of mine its been completely rebuilt with a hone a golden eagle block guard and arp rod bolts. So its still needing a breakin. My head a b16 i bought off of some guy who had a spun rod bearing we took it to a shop and they set the lash did a valve leak test and said it didnt leak blah blah they went ahead and milled 5 thousands off.
This was my build
-B20B4 Bottom End
-B20 headgasket
-Golden Eagle b20vtec dowel pins
-Arp Rod Bolts
-Fresh Rebuild Internals
-Vtec waterpump, oil pump, timing belt
-Golden Eagle Block Guard
-Unorthodox Crank Pulley
-98 Pr3-2 B16 Head milled
-Arp Headstuds
-Skunk2 Intake manifold
-I/H/E
-Ebay catch can with topmount breather with line going to one port on the block and one to the valve cover
and chipped p06 Ecu with b20 vtec basemap
It is misfiring but other than that she runs good
build has maybe 1 mile
I've been think a thicker headgasket since were still breaking it in. On the first start up it didnt miss now all the sudden it does. my head has been milled. When i pulled the spark plug cylinder one had some oil on the thread clean oil. you could actually see what looked like oil on the cylinder so im thinking the headgasket didnt seat right because of the milled head shoot suggestions. thank ht
