ok so my friend just put an obdo vtec b16 head on his b20 no vtec engagement at all now i know his coolant temp sensor is broken and he is using a p28 not chipped the p28 should still engage the vtec but only to the single cam redline? also vtec does not engage when the coolant tem is not hooked up? another question is what should the timing be set up at for b20vtec with type r cams and what should his fuel preasure be set atalso how do i set his fuel preasure do i remove the vacume line and setat idel

Coolant temp is a check that the ecu checks for when looking to engage vtak. If the sensor is broken it probably will not crack vtakz. I always set the timing to 16.50 btdc like stock and fuel pressure? 45ish? with the hose off.

ok apperantly he is throwing a code 16 for the fuel system will this cause no vtec also what is the definition for this code so i know what it is
