b20 swap question

Default b20 swap question

i am planning on putting a b20 into my 96 hatch, i currently have all the parts needed but i was advised from a friend that i need to change my oil pump so the ls ecu will read it other wise it will not start. i havent heard this before so just wonderin if anyone has info on this or if this is necessary or not.... thanks

possibly a crank sensor, but the only oil reading the ECU sees is Zero, which is no good(oil light).

I believe hes talkin about your crank angle sensor. The car will start with the oil light on. Make sure that you have your CAS hooked up to the ECU otherwise you'll get a CEL.

Now Im not positive this is what your buddy is talkin about but thats the oil sensor I can think of that would be an issue with that swap.
