what wire harness can i use? can use my d16y8 harness? what ecu do i use also?

 

yes you can use your y8 harness the ecu depends on what year the car and engine are. if its obd2a get a stock crv ecu or a 96-98 ls ecu. if its obd2b (99-00) get a 99-00 ecu. or you can change some plugs get a obd2a - obd1 conversion harness and run a ls or chipped obd1 ecu

 

its a 99 civic and a jdm b20b 97. so i can still use my y8 harness and a ls ecu?

 

yep you should be able to run a 99 ls ecu or a 99 crv ecu

 

always use the wiring harness off of the engine out of the car you are working on. never switch harnesses, just add, lengthen, or modify the wires as needed

If you use an obd2 ls ecu you will throw out a CEL. Use and obd1 ecu and youll be fine.
