Default b20 ecu?

currently on my b20z im running an obd0 p75 but my question is would it be better w/ and obd1 p75 since the b20 is basicly a bored out b18b? i believe its the same head right? just seems like the obd1 would run better is that a poor assumption? could i just run my current ecu w/ a b18b chip? let me know if im being a jackass.

OBD0 or OBD1 is up to you, both can be tuned to run the engine correctly.

They will both accomplish the same thing. OBD1 has the advantage of arguably better tuning tools, but the conversion costs a bit of money. If you don't really have a need for it, I would stay with OBD0.

yes but the b18a and b18b have run on differenct maps from eachother correct? so would my b20 run better on b18b maps rather than b18a?

It would run BEST on B20 maps, but those might be hard to come by. If you really want to, you can convert to OBD1 and run B18B maps, but even those will need tuning. That being the case, the best thing is to pick whatever ecu you feel like and tune it using that. Then it will be really right for your motor.
