So will a prodrive oil pump gear fit a b20 oil pump?

VTEC oil pumps are different from non-VTEC pumps. Just go w/ an ITR pump for peace of mind. You may also want to shim it & use the newer "smaller" oil filters for added pressure.

What do you mean by shim it?I heard you can use rsx filters and that will raise your oil pressure.

Whats so funny, isnt it true that you can run RSX filters hehee.I was wondering cause i got a prodrive gear in a gsr pump and was wondering if i can reuse it in a b20 block.I already know better to use vtec pumps in non vtec blocks i dont want to ghetto rig nothing

On the underside of the pump(side that wil face down to the pavement once installed) there is a spring-lodaed bolt. Remove this bolt, add a thin washer and re-install. Each washer should be good for an additional 5 psi or so, but I'd say and ITR pump w/ K-series filter is more than enough pressure. That's what I use.

Shimming it will generate more pressure but not more flow... As vtecvoodoo said just get an ITR pump and you'll be set...
