Default b18c1/c5 crank in a b18a/b

will this setup work? i am thinking about destroking my ls from 1834 cc to 1797 ccs in order to rev higher. if i dont change anything but the crank and keep the ls rods and pistons, will it lower compression? anyways, i also have upgraded valvetrain. tell me what you guys think. any help would be apreciated. thanks

ls rods are shorter than ITR/GSR rods so the top of your stroke would never reach the top of the deck. youll need to use ITR/GSR rods to go along with the crank and it also wouldnt hurt install a crank girdle to accomodate the higher rpms. also a shitty thing about the non vtec blocks is they lack oil squirters which are good for cooling the factory cast pistons a high rpms. for all the money it sounds like youll spend to do it right id just go with a factory ITR short block or a GSR block if u lack the funds

doesnt make it rev any higher......you are losing displacement now with that combo.

Absolutely not.....that would totally be a waste of a GSR block.
