Default b18c prob

im having a problem with vtec engagement everytime vtec pops i hear it click but the car dosent go any faster. yes theres oil in the car. it feels like it idols a little high too but idk cause i dont have a speedomter or a tac. my first question is what could this vtec problem be and my second question is is there any reptuable shops that i could take my car to in south jersey that can acutally diganose my car and figure out this wiring problem i have?

No speedo = no vtec

I had this in my 96 gsr vss plug did not get pushed all the way on.....ecu has to see a certain mph before it will switch over to the big cam

bump does it matter that i have a 99 00 si harness on a 96-98 motor in a 96 civic and my ecu is obd1

harness wont matter...seems like you have a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness...

Yea that what I have but vtec was pippin before and my vss is fine could it be my vtec solenoid

bump yea i got one but i cant scan my ecu cause its obd1? correct? also i just found a blue and white wire hanging out of my harness towards the ecu end of the harness not connected. Thank you for any help

actually you can jump any ecu....there should be a blue connector above your ecu, use a paper clip and jump it...one long blink counts for ten. one fast blink is a count of one...ex. two long blinks and 1 fast blink equals code 21...and look to see if the unconnected end your talking about connects to anything

that wire im pretty sure it was spliced to something on the jumper harness but idk wtf it is bump
