B18C into 99 ex ????? Help please

Default B18C into 99 ex ????? Help please

ok i have a 99 civic ex and bought a Jdm b18c engine swap for it, I know i have to use the ex harness and yes both are 0bd2, But the question is on the b18 dizzy, there is two plugs and on the ex theres on one. What needs to happen here?

i believe u can either get a b16a2 dizzy or convert from the 1 plug to a 2 plug

the 99ex has the smaller distributor plug so the 99si dizzy won't work. u need to match up the plug wire color for wire color for it to work. you should also have to rewire your alternator plug and injectors if you're using the obd1 motor in your obd2 ex car. any other questions just shoot me a pm

that dizzy is obd1. i would think the rest of ur motor is obd1 also. did u already try plugging in the rest of the harness?

its an obd2 engine JDM B18C engine and the ex is obd2 as well

well i think your right about it being an obd1 i ordered the engine from jhpusa and they gave me an obd2 ecu but the engine has to be obd1 .....im so pissed.

so that jumper will change the engine to obd2 cause the ex harness is obd2 and the ecu i got is obd2

ok so jhpusa called me back today and they said that they would send me an obd2 b18 dizzy, alternator, and injectors.....i already have the right ecu...so my new question is if they send those parts will that change it to obd2? Im pretty sure everything would be find with these parts but just want a second opinion...thanks again guys
