ok don't listen to what c1civic just spewed, he's wrong.
your car is already OBD1 so you can already stick with using an OBD1 ecu with your 00 GSR engine. But if you really want to use the GSR ecu, (1) you'll have to get the IMMobilizer removed before using it and (2) you'll have to purchase an OBD1 to OBD2b ecu jumper harness (which i sell if you're interested). But you don't have to do any of this if you find yourself an OBD1 P72/GSR ecu.
And if you're wondering about engine wiring and the onboard OBD2 engine's electronic components (injectors/distributor/alternator)...
If your GSR motor is US spec and comes with the GSR engine harness, USE IT, it's totally compatible with your OBD1 civic. A few unimportant plugs won't be used though, but the harness will work nonetheless.

If you have an EG SI, even better, just use your stock harness, though you'll have to cut the knock sensor connector off the old harness and run new wires to the ECU. If you do have the 00 GSR harness just use that instead like Katman said.
Katman, are you with JdmHondaparts?

yes, I'm part co-founder of jdmhondaparts.com, but I don't run the show there, that's all Sheng. I just run the ecu reprogramming & jumper operations and keep the website maintained.
btw, its a lot easier using the OBD2 GSR engine harness instead of his 93 Si/OBD1 engine harness with this OBD2 GSR engine, as the OBD2 igntion/injectors/etc will not plug n' play with an OBD1 wire harness... whereas the GSR engine harness will. He'll just have to make sure his car is wired for vtec depending on what 93 civic model he owns.
