I'm done coreecting people and trying to help others learn about the damn engine codes. If you don't believe me, you will find out sooner or later. It's not a hard thing to process, even in a small brain.

You think a JDM B18 Type R has EVER said "b18c3"? haha ok.

You think every bit of information off of websites is 100% true? You believe that then..

well my friends block said b18c3... and it was a jdm motor... so what is it??
might be a ukdm motor.

It's not JDM that's for sure.

As I said before, there is no number on the end B18's from Japan. Get it?

You can't believe everything you see or hear. Some sites say it's from a JDM ITR, but where's the proof? I have personally never even seen a block that says c3 on it. I didn't even know they had ITR's in asia..

But from what I've gathered through Honda gurus over a long period of time, is there was never a B18c1, c2, c3, c4, c5, c6, etc. from JDM car. NEVER. And when I think about it, that makes PERFECT sense, since the B18c is the original number one B18c designed in Japan. Why wold they put a number on their own engine? They know what it is...

well i didn't say i believed it. i was just curious if anyone of you guys would confirm it, that's all. it's nothing to make a big deal out of. i mean who needs a c_? as long as it's a b18c, it doesn't matter # designation. it's still a 1.8 vtec, right? no need to spend all that money on just a c5 or so. just get a c1 gsr and build it up.

If no one believes me, then start a thread about it. I'm sure things will start making sense when other people are saying the same thing as me. As for now, I'm done with this engine code ****.

If your friends friend or whatever has a JDM GSR, and it says B18c1, there are other ways to tell if it is JDM too... I'd be checking that out.

for the record:

the AUSDM Type R engine is a B18C7

it is SAME as JDM type R engine.
