B18b1.. question...Bent Rod?
So, I picked up this motor, and got to checkin it out and noticed the crank was pretty hard to rotate. So i took off the oil pan seen a small amount of silver at the bottom and i mean a small amount nothing serious. peeked at the walls and all the sides of the rods and crank to see if any bearings were bad and they seemed to be fine. Flipped it back over took off the head and noticed this...
crank at TDC piston 4 is all the way up and looks fine.
but in second picture piston 1 has a gap at the top of the wall and piston.
I'm thinking its a bent rod, would like to hear someone elses opinion.
thanks.

Its always best not to jump to conclusions cuz that will cost you some money i would say the only definite way to check it is dis assemble it. Think about it you are going to have to anyway because your not going to go drive it like that so take it appart make sure you have all the same size rods and pistos also inspect the crankshaft for damage. Even if someone gave you their opinion how is it going to fix your problem so best bet is to put the work into it
