B18A1 disasembly/rebuild
Hey everyone, I convinced my dad into buying me a civic for my first car and was able to find a B18A1 that I want to learn about motors from, I want to take it apart and put it back together in hopes that I can learn how the motor works. I am starting with the intake manifold and just breaking it down from there, does that seem like the best route? Thanks.
Do you have a factory honda manual? If not I would say get one. I have found them before online in a pdf format for free (have alot of paper available if you intend to print). Follow this through the tear-down and rebuild as there are important torque specs and clearance issues you will run into. This is a great way to learn. Good Luck.
