im takin a look at a b18a long block tomorrow. how can i tell if its obd1 or obd0. i need it to be obd1 and i have an obd1 b18b, should it look exactly like the b18b i have or just same amount of sensors or what? what do i need to look for to make sure its obd1? thanx

 

The date on the head.

 

the obd1 b18a1 will not have the dashpot or the air boost valve on the intake manifold, but it will have the casting marks where they should go. Also, the distributor will have grey plugs for OBD1, white plugs for OBD0.
