D15B7 head gasket question..
so- my first post here-
I recently got a 94 Del Sol for basically free, but it has a burnt valve in cyl #2. I have another head that I am going to swap onto it, and was wondering if it is possible to use a head gasket other than the stock one (or remove the center layer of a stock one) to raise the CR a bit. I know its not a huge change, but I figured while it was apart....and I am collecting the parts for my mini-me swap...it might make up for living at 5500ft of elevation...
Thanks.

i *ALWAYS* use the 92-95 DX/Si D16Z6 head gasket for every single d series engine i work on. they only cost slightly more than the stock lead/paper head gasket, they are more durable, thinner for higher compression, and plus you will never have to scrape that nasty old head gasket from the head/block again.
