Default B18 Questions

Before I go to honda and buy some stuff I need a few things verified.
2000 B16A1 pistons will fit my 98 LS block and Ls rods right? (normal or .25 over?)
Do I need the B16 wrist pins or the B18 ls wrist pins?
Should I use APR head studs? (NA, non-vtec)
Crower 403's ???
Spoon or Mugen Headgasket?
Should I upgrade the crank bearings?

Default Re: B18 Questions (legendboy)

headstuds not neccacary

mugen or oem head gasket, oem is the cheapest, but im assuming your looking for added compression, so the mugen head gasket is the cheapest for compression increases.

B16 slugs will fit, and its always better to buy new ones, and for close to that price you can get forged slugs with the compression you want, so why not?

Always replace your bearings any time the engine is torn down and use OEM honda bearings and size them properly

I believe the wrist pins are the same part # for both applications

What ever cams you want, get em, but get valve springs too
