Default b16a2 trans on a b16a1 motor, will this work

I am wanting to buy a b16a1 longblock and then buy an hydro trans off of an b16a2. Will this work?

yes, any b-series transmission will bolt up to any b-series motor.

maybe, the very first-first gens had 2 or 3 less splines on the shaft... more than likely it will work though. I think it was 89 models....

just line it up and bolt it up.
