Default B16a2 bent valve?

Ling story short I was doing a pull in my dc2 integra with a b16a2 (old owners swap, not mine). I ended up shifting into 2nd when trying to shift from 3rd to 4th. The car revved up to somewhere around 10,000 rpm before i could put the clutch in. I got home and did a oil change and a compression check. I came up with 180psi across all cylinders, all spark plugs were in good condition, and I found no metal shavings in the oil.

I know I need to do a leak down test to be sure that I didn't damage the valves. But seeing how I couldn't hear any problems and it seemed to be running fine I figured I was hopefully clear of any problems. Until the day after when the car developed a miss fire. The problem gets better and worse, and sometimes completely goes away. But for 90% of the time the car misses horribly and has little power.
What I want to know is, can a bent valve cause it to miss only some of the time? Or am I looking at something more like ignition? I'm currently not driving the car because it sounds like a Subaru and doesn't have much power at all.

A mechanical over rev typically ends in bent valves if you are lucky... more often, the result is a dropped valve and ends in catastrophic engine failure. Consider yourself lucky. Do a compression test now that you have a misfire and see if you get different results.

A bent valve will not misfire only some of the time, you are hopefully looking at either ignition or fuel. I had an injector filter crimp itself in the fuel rail once, gave a misfire every once in a while but ran great the rest of the time.

It has been pretty wet around here lately. Any possibility of some moister being somewhere its not supposed to be? I'm thinking i should pull my distributor to see if there is any sort of moiture building up. Check plugs amd wires while im there aswell.

Gotta pull the head. I've had slightly bent valve cause an occasional random misfire . That's the only true way to be sure.

The fact that he has 180psi across all cylinders makes me think it's something else though. I could be wrong.
