ok so long story short.
bought a ej1 coupe and got myself a b16A. the stamp on the head says 9/1 which means 1991 correct?
well anyways we swaped it in the car and we got a code which was vtec. fixed that and all the other problems. but now the car wont start..
it struggles to turn on, sounds like it has no gas but it primes so thats not it. we switched the map sensors and still nogo. we pulled out the spark plugs and found it was flooded with gasoline and we tried to start the car and it just backfires a lot but still wont crank over fully.


what do you think is wrong? the guy that helped me put the motor in says it could be the ECU but i dont want to belive him because almost every other problem he stated wasnt true so it starting to sound like hes just guessing.


how would i get that unburnd fuel out of my sparkplug area? and what do YOU guys think is wrong??

using a p28 ecu. stock b16 headers, brand new sparkplugs.

 

well if its obd0 motor in a obd1 car.. some wires might not be right.. umm id look into that

also check starter connections, dizzy, inside dizzy.... any not used wires.

 

sounds like its not getting any spark, or the dizzy is going out, (cap or rotor)
