Default B16A: advancing timing, octane rating

Got a Q...

I've got a B16A, with GSR cams now. I've just bumped the timing up from 15 degrees to 17 degrees in anticipation of a dyno session tomorrow and it seems OK... but I am very cautious. I'm wondering if I should step up to get 94 octane (pump gas here) or stick with 92 octane?

Any B16A owners w/ advanced timing running 91/92 octane & no detonation?

There is a diff, yes... it pulls to redline quite happily now It's not a huge difference, just a couple more ponies. I'm looking for dragstrip results next Friday & I'll have dyno numbers tomorrow afternoon.

I threw some 94 in there and it seems much smoother though
