Default b16a

hello im new to this site been on another forums and just tryin to get different opions or facts. but first off i got a b16a and i would like to rebuild. i spun a rod bearing so the plan was to stroke it and im gettin a b18cr head. stroking it is a lot of money though so ive been thinkin of other options. ive talked to some people about the b17 crank and rods w b16b pistons and really like that idea and its basically stroking it. but im just not sure about all the little things i gotta do. like head gasket, shavin the rod 1mm so the piston fits, head work, ect.............

i hear u got use a 3 layer head gasket and some other people say u need a 2 layer and something about clay. also the valvetrain needs to be bumped up. i would like to state when i get the head it will be beefed up... some cams, valves, springs. aftermarket manifold, 68mm or so throttle body, bigger injectors. from my understanding that if u do this bottom end like i stated above then ur gonna have to get all this head work done to really get good results from the bottom end b17 style other wise its a waste of time.

any feed would be great thanks
