Default B16 w/ spray ???

I am new to posting on this forum, I have read it for a while but finally decided to register. I have a question for my new project...

I am building a 1st gen B16 for nitrous, hopefully a 200 shot depending on what sort of quality input I get. I am fully building the head, port n polish, Zex cams, Skunk2 valves, springs and retainers, Skunk2 intake manifold, bored 70mm TB, DSM 450cc injectors, and and inline fuel pump. I am going to run the Gold series Zdyne ECU program. And this will be fully tuned as I dont want anything to break and I want to get the most out of it.

Here is my question, this will be my weekend warrior and NOT my daily driver. I plan on only putting Eagle Hbeam rods and SRP 9.9:1 std bore pistons. WILL MY BLOCK be ok w/o any other work done, i.e. sleeves. I am trying to do this on somewhat of a budget and can finish it by the end of the summer w/o sleeving and doing anyother work, unless I should sleeve it.

If anyone is running a setup similar to this, or has in the past please give me your opinion. Just don't give me your opinion as to changing what I am building.

Thanx in advance, sorry it was so long.

200 shot... man that seems a little high man... i guess if you build the hell out that motor it and i mean might handle that. i dunno if you could even drive when you hit that though. i use to have a 50 shot in my hx witchlead to the blowing of the motor. and let me tell you when i hit that button it felt like a whole diffrent car

Thanx, I still need to find out if my stock block can handle this amount.

So you aren't planning on sleeving the block??? On stock sleeves with good tuning I wouldn't go over 150, it's just not going to last even if you only drive the car on the weekends.... 150 is even a lot of squeeze for stock sleeves..... I would just send it out to GE http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com/sleeves.htm and have the sleeve it... It'll make all the difference in the world when you get that done... You could even bore it out a couple extra mm's for some extra displacement... I guess if you want you could start low and move you jets up till you sleeves crack or you motor blows up... That's if you stay with stock sleeves... As for tuning that much nitrous I would hook up something along the lines of Hondata or something... You aren't going to be able to do much with that ECU... And with those injectors you are gonna be running rich to begin with... Oh well i guess that will fight detonation.... Just get it tuned once you are all done and you'll be set... Peace

Thanks I appreciate it, I was figuring that I would need to sleeve it but was trying to avoid it. I am going to be running the Zdyne ECU, very similar to hondata but with more tuning capabilities for nitrous.
