Default B16 Transmission Project

Since I'll be putting away my Car this Winter, I've decided that I will be doing a little Transmission Rebuild. Parts will consist of an OBX LSD, Exedy Lightweight Flywheel, JDM ITR 4.9 Final Drive w/ LS Transmisson 5th Gear, and Energy Suspesnsion Shifter Bushings. The Bell Housing will also be Hot Tanked, cleaned up, and all Bolts/Hardware will be reaplced with Brand NEW OEM Peices.

Now, the only concern I had was with the LSD, but wanted to get some more input. I read about the Bolts on the OBX LSD letting out and causing some serious issues, BUT also read that when those same exact Bolts are replaced with something better . . . say ARP Grade 10 Bolts, that the LSD works wonders and is excellent for an under 200whp All Motor Car like I have.

Just wanted to see if anyone else had any other input on the OBX LSD or my Transmission Rebuild Plan.

I donno, Im gonna stick with my orginal plan and go with the OEM CTR LSD. The OEM and OBX LSD's are basically the same price and I know Im not the only one that thins this, but I rather have an OEM Part over a knock off part any time.

You'll have to get a gsr ring gear to run the ctr lsd. The itr/ctr/gsr diffs have a different bolt pattern than b16/ls. If you want to keep the same fd then use a gsr, or upgrade to an itr fd.
