Default b16 tranny with ls 5th gear?

ive done a search and cant find anything but i know ive seen someone mention it before,but i just skimmed over it,so i ask...

CAN you put an ls 5th gear into a b16 tranny?

what are the pros and cons of doing so?

it would be longer right?

yes you can
but i don't see why ppl do this
the engine will fall out of the power band very hard, when shifting from 4th to 5th

if you're shifting from 4th to 5th, you're pretty much already out of your power band.

b16 5th gears suck for DD

not true, I am very much in the power band when shifting from 4th to 5th
