Alright my friend gots 4 pair of pr3 piston and rods and he was wondering if i can use 4 other rod caps off pr3 rods?? I would say they would work but need some more in for on this... And after plasti what should the clearance be at?

use the caps that came on the rods unless you take them to a machine shop and have them resized.

 

yea thats the problem the rods we bought didnt come with caps so we got some from his p30 pistons but the rods are pr3.. And on the caps it says pr3 16 and the rods say pr3 41 or something like that...

 

have the resized or dont use them at all

the rods and caps are machined together in pairs so the probability of a random rod and random cap lining up is rare.

 

thats what i thougth too.. how much will that cost??
