B16... HELP FAST
I just bought this civic with this engine work done to it:
Wiseco Pistons 11.5:1 comp
Eagle H-Beam Rods
Spoon 2 Layer-head Gasket
2000 Integra GSR Cams
Port/Polished Rebuilt Head with Ferrea internals
Bore/Milled Block etc...
New Gaskets/Seals
JDM DC 4-1 Header
ITR stock intake (3') with no air-box
Hks cat Back Exhaust
Catco Highflow cat
Chipped P30 JDM B16 Spec (5200 vtec/8500 rev limit) no knock/speed limit
DelSol Shifter
S2000 Oil Filter
ITR engine mounts
JimFab polyurethane Rear Engine Mount
B-series Torque Mounts
There is a very distinct knocking sound inside the engine and its very very clear... any thoughts on what it could be and any thoughts of how to fix it?

Try this ''Process of elimination''
1. Using low octane gas in a high compression engine.
2. Too much timing advance for the fuel being used.
3.Increased temperatures and pressure in the combusting chamber due to inadequate engine cooling.
4. Excessive inlet air temp. .
5. Spark plug with an improperly high heat range.
6. Too lean of an air/fuel ratio.

i thought valve tapping could be the problem cause i kno a guy with a Type R Motor and it did the same thing and everyone was saying valve tapping but of course i could be wrong like hell

500 to dish out for what? Get the Helms manual (prefered) ~$80 or a Chilton ~$25 spend less than $50 for tools and adjust those vavles yourself. It is really not that hard to do. Read this:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php
If you want you could go to http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/catalog.asp?id=1
and find the tool to do the valve adjustment to make it easier. You will end up saving money in the end and once you are good at it you can charge your friends $20 and lunch to do their valves.
