Default B16 heads

I keep hearing about which one is which & I'm still not sure.
Does anyone have the end all list of B16 heads?
I'm thinking about a cr-vtec & this seems to be the cost effective head for this
combo but I'm unsure which casting # I'm after......how many are there? Which one's share the same castings? Is there any real difference in them after a pro porting job?
Thanks

Pr3 is the most commonly use b16 head, b/c it shares the same casting as the ITR head.

yeah you have pr3 and p72(gsr)
there is minor differences between newer and older pr3 heads.aside from cams and electronic stuff; older pr3 heads have extrude cam caps and newer have machined. also older pr3's have less casting flaws.

I can't remember where i sourced the info, but yes the 1st gen B16A head seems to have the best casting, but the weakest cams (hp wise). Use a good set of aftermarket cams like Shunk II, and perhaps some better springs, and you'll have a very good top end.

as far as the spray bars and casting i agree, but only automatic heads had the weaker cams........SirII had the better cams out of the B16A's.......
