whats the differance between the two, beside obd0 and obd1? i'm taking about power wise. do they both have the same spec and hp? i'm thinking about picking up a jdm b16 gen 1, what do i need to do to swap that into a obd1 hatch? what about the tranny? do they have the same gear ratio?

 

difference of about 8-10hp, which you probably won't feel.

first gen has cable tranny, second gen has hydro tranny.

pending what you're swappin' into is the best way to pick your motor. makes it easier.
