B16 in EG swap help ( wiring )
I'm in the middle of swapping a B16 into my EG and need some input.
First, how can I tell if my car was ever originally V-Tec? I need to know so I know to run the vtec wires or not.
Is there an easy way to tell if my eg ( hatch ) was ever V-Tec? since it didn't have the original engine when I got it.
My B16 is JDM OBD0 B16a, I bought a brand new OBD1 distributor, and OBD1 ecu.
Does OBD1 wiring require a resistor pack? how can I bypass the resistor pack if I'm using high impedance injectors?

What model is the hatch? The VX and Si both had VTEC. Did your car have a previous engine in it? If so what engine? The DX/LX engine (D15B7) and the Si engine (D16Z6) both use 240cc injectors like the B16 so I'd use them and not the injectors that the OBD0 B16 came with.

I don't know what model it is. Where can I even check?
one person I know said it isn't vtec because it doesn't have a sun roof. is this correct?
Can't I just look to see if the wiring harness has the vtec wires?
where would they be located.
Also I have brand new 900cc high imp injectors i'm using. that's why I need to know about the resistor box
If it's a 92 it has the wires...
if not check the ecu plugs, if there is a wire in A4 you have the vtec wires... if you don't understand this then there is no reason for you to have 900cc injectors...

it's a 94.
I'll check the A4. thanks that is what I was trying to figure out is where the Vtec wires are suppose to be on the ecu plug side.
All I'm trying to get at man is if you go to google.com and type in 92-95 civic pin out you wouldn't have had to make this thread... not trying to be a dick... google is your friend...
