b16 cylinder head ??

Default b16 cylinder head ??

searched through about 20 pages of archives but still have a question: will a first gen b16 head on a second gen block make sense? can i upgrade the head with type r or gsr internals,throttle body and skunk 2 mani? is the old oiling system in the first gen enough to support this? a little out there but also what about first gen b16 head on ls block with pr3 pistons? TIA guys. any advice is appreciated.

Sure can

As far as the head Type r would be an upgrade. Stay away from GSR head internals unless they are dirt chep and your poor
is the old oiling system in the first gen enough to support this?
oil system in the the 1st gen is excelent. So yes.

Its been done many times. Its AKA LS-VTEC. Take a few mods but can be done. Not my favorite combo tho.

oh ok. so only go type r? i read the 1st gen head is better because the head is cast from one piece. is this true?
