Sounds like a head gasket. the antifreez went somewhere....either out the exhaust or in to the oil pan. i would say in to the pan(if the oil looks like milk). if this is the case drain the oil NOW because antifreeze isnt' good for bearings. do a compression/leak down test if your results are not good then i would do a head gasket.

why would that stop me from going above 3000 RPM's? My friend had a blown head gasket and that didnt happen.

What model is your CRX?? Did you have to convert your wiring from DPI to MPI?? If so you would have had to wire in the CYP into the distributor and flip a lot of wires around (the DPI setup runs the TPS reference negative from that of any other NORMAL Honda so you have to flip wires)... Without this modification or having any of the distributor sensors (TDC, CKP, CYP) polarity mixed up you would have a ~3000rpm cutoff... How does the car idle??? Does it sound like a lawnmower?? If so I would check into the MAP vacuum and the TPS wiring... What ECU are you running, PR3 or PW0??? let me know and I'll see if i can help you more... Good Luck

I didnt do the swap myself, I just bought the car and the swap was already complete. It was running just fine until today. My friend seems to think that the ECU is putting a cutoff at 3k. Aparently its a safety mechanism. I will add coolant and try to reset the ECU and see what happens.
