The newer the cams, the better.

b16a=worst, b16a1/3, better ,b16a2, better, b16b best of the b16 cams

Gsr cams will outperform any b16 non-r cams with a little fuel adjustments.

Same goes for the b18 motors, the newer the better, the JDM spec motors have more aggressive cam profiles.

The best overall cam for a naturally aspirated b16 I have found is to be the 00-01 j-spec ITR cams.

where did you get your information?

There are no differences in B16A cams be it B16A1, B16A2 or B16A3, they are all the same lift and duration, the only ones that differ are the Type-R cams. The only way that the newer cams could be better is that if you have had the valve lash set horrible for a long time and it has worn the lobes.

No, the b16A cams are less aggressive than b16a2 cams, this, along with larger TB and higher CR is why the b16a2 has 10 more HP.
Automatic b16a cams are the worst of the lot.

Also,the vtec point on the newer B16 are higher,5500,compare to 4800-5000 rpm for the first gen.

So there are maybe a little difference between these cams.

Maybe that as something to do with the more stringent OB2?

Ok, just checked it out, the b16a2 intake cam has 0.5mm higher lift (10.6 over 10.1mm), the exhaust has 0.4mm more (9.4 over 9.0). The duration is the same.
